You might think you are pretty clever buying your African coffee beans from our family-owned store. And you would be right, but not for the obvious reasons. You see, you think you are pretty clever because you know that you are getting fresh coffee beans from the best places that grow coffee all around the world. While this is true, it’s not the reason you are so clever. You might also think you are clever because you get your specialty-grade coffee beans from a place that offers free shipping and excellent customer service. Of course, all of this is true, but you are clever for another very good reason; because you buy your coffee beans from us, you don’t have to go to Starbucks for a cup of coffee.
Actually, buying coffee beans from us and not shopping Starbucks not only makes you rather clever, it makes you a very happy person. And why is that? It;s because every time you walk into a Starbucks, or another coffee shop to be sure, you have to put up with some customer making a lame statement or doing something that irritates everybody.
You know who we are talking about: Annoying Starbucks person. Seriously, next time you go to Starbucks or another coffee shop, you will see at least one of the following people.
The Drink Corrector
Say someone places their coffee drink order right after you did and they order a coffee with no whipped cream. They pay for their drink and stand right next to you, a little too close, and wait for their order. The barista is busy preparing your drink, which does include whipped cream, but the drink corrector next to you thinks it is their drink being made and screams at the barista that their drink doesn’t get whipped cream.
You see, drink corrector person thinks the world revolves around them and in no way could that barista be making any other drink but theirs.
The Halfer
This is the person who likes to halve things. They don’t want one pump of syrup, a half a pump will do just fine to go with their half shot of espresso. These type of people are wholly annoying.
The Phone Talker
This extends beyond coffee shops, but this person drives people to insanity. The one way to get an entire roomful of people to hate you is by chatting on your phone while standing in line, ordering and waiting for your drink. And let’s not be subtle or discreet by any chance, just talk as loud as you can with no disregard for anything or anybody.
The Oblivious
This is the person who pays attention to nothing, just stands there with a glazed-over look. The barista calls out “Grande Mocha” and hands it to them. They take a look at the drink, wait for it, and say, “Is this my Grande Mocha?”
These are the type of people you don’t have to deal with if you buy your coffee online and make it at home.
