Don’t get us wrong, we think those are noble goals and there is absolutely nothing wrong with bettering yourself. But we always hope for somebody to break the mold, think up resolutions that aren’t so mainstream.

Let’s cut to the chase, you are a coffee drinker. In fact, when it comes to beverages, coffee is at the top of your list. So maybe it’s time you made some coffee resolutions. Don’t laugh, when you see our list of coffee resolutions, you will kick yourself for not thinking about this on your own years ago.

Focus on Taste

You might be surprised to hear this, but coffee doesn’t have to taste bad. There are millions of people who rely on coffee to wake us up in the morning and keep us going throughout the day. Some people slam down three, four or more cups of java a day and drink stuff that tastes awful. But resolve to change all of that this year. Stop this needless suffering.

Like wine, there are several coffee growing regions around the world. Each location provides a coffee with a unique taste. Some places produce massive amounts of coffee for commercial sales and others produce quite tasty gourmet coffee. There are a lot of great tasting coffee from places like Africa, South America and Central America.

When you go to the liquor store to pick up a bottle of wine because good friends are coming over for dinner, you avoid buying the cheapest bottle you find. You do this because you know the quality won’t be there. Now, you don’t have to pay a whole lot for a good bottle of wine, but you do have to use common sense in your choices.

The same holds true in coffee beans. If you go to your local chain grocery store and buy the least expensive coffee, the taste reflects your poor choices. Don’t compromise taste. Instead, pick quality African coffee beans or Ethiopian coffee beans and you will enjoy a good cup of coffee with every cup.

You might be enjoying a quality cup of coffee, but it’s the same cup of coffee every day. This year, resolve to mix things up a bit and experience the variety of coffee beans available.

You might be scared off by fancy roasted Brazil  coffee or unroasted Honduras coffee at first, but branching out will be fun. Discovering coffees from all over the world is interesting and keeps your taste buds happy.

Fresh Coffee

The coffee you buy in cans at the store is far from fresh. If you want fresh coffee, but unroasted coffee beans, you will enjoy a noticeable difference. Coffee is quite perishable and begins to taste bitter soon after it is roasted. Fresh coffee is vibrant, you will notice a big difference.

Healthy Coffee
